The plain cruise control steering wheel.
Or the 6 button steering wheel with cruise control. These come with either paddle shift or no paddle shift.
The plain steering wheel is for cars with monochrome screens.
And you’ll also have a wiper stalk with 2 buttons on the end. These are to control the monochrome display.
What Do The 6 Steering Wheel Buttons Do?
The left 3 buttons are up, down and OK for the menus in the full colour speedo display ONLY. They will NOT work on the monochrome display. That’s what the 2 buttons on the end of the wiper stalk are for.
The right 3 buttons are for volume up, volume down and voice assistant. I believe the voice assistant only works with Android Auto. These 3 buttons can be coded to work.
Retrofitting The 6 Button Steering Wheel
Coding The Buttons
Connect the car and start up DDT4All. Scan the car so it populates the top left box.
2 – Double click MIU BIC x07
3 – Drop down RDBI/WDBI and double click Configurations in the left lower box.
This will populate the main box with information.
4 – Click on Einstein’s face.
5 – On the right, change ECU Configuration OnSWRC from “Not Present” to “Present”.
6 – Click “Write Configuration”.
The right hand volume and voice assistant buttons should now work. If not, Disconnect the battery for 10 minutes.
The left hand menu buttons will only work of you have the full colour speedo.
