Drive Vs Traffic

Don’t confuse “right hand drive” with “right hand traffic”.
Alternatively…
Don’t confuse “left hand drive” with “left hand traffic”.

Also, don’t think that “right hand drive” is the same as “left hand traffic”.

This term is car specific. You can drive a right hand drive car in any country

Left/Right Hand Traffic

This term is country specific. No matter what car you have, you have to drive on a specific side of the road.

Left hand traffic – you drive on the left side of the road.
Right hand traffic – you drive on the right side of the road.

What Is My Country?

Places that drive on the left are:

Australia, Caribbean Islands, Channel Islands, Cyprus, Hong Kong,  India, Isle of Man, Ireland, Jamaica, Japan, Kenya, Malta, Malaysia,  New Zealand, South Africa, Singapore, Thailand, United Kingdom.

Places that drive on the right are:

Everywhere else, America, Europe etc.
