Mod Description
Let's be honest, the Bosch Highline stereo is a piece of over-priced shit, you may as well sell it and swap it out for something betterMod Details

They have so many common faults, have terrible and out of date navigation and a very low resolution screen.
Remove the 2 screws either side.
You can then slide the fascia away from the Highline stereo.
What you have left is a double DIN surround so you don’t have to bother buying one.
Get your replacement double DIN stereo and slide it into the back of the fascia.
Bolt it in position…
…and the stereo is now in place.
Fit it to your car and be glad you got rid the original stereo.
Job done, sweet!
What Radio Unit Will Fit?
99.9% of all double DIN radios should fit, especially these days.
Back when I originally did this, CD players were still common in aftermarket radios so on the unit I fitted, the face folded down. This was a bit of an issue since it sometimes caught on the surround. However now, almost all radios have a fixed screen now they’ve done away with motorised fascias and embraced Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Spotify and streaming.
Personally I recommend going for a brand name such as Pioneer, mainly because I’m not a fan of the cheap Chinese Android units. They are often laggy, slow and the screens are quite often quite poor. However, they are cheap so it’s up to you.
Will I have To Change Any Wiring?
Probably no but it’s simple if you do have to. If you do, you will have to swap the permanent live and switched live. The permanent live (yellow) allows the stereo to store your settings and the switched live (red) turns the stereo on and off.
More often than not, these wires will have an in-line connector so they can be disconnected and swapped over.
