12v Battery Sensor
Ben C from SmartTecnic contacted me asking about this connector as he’s seen 3 of these fail so far. All of which are operator error. Because of the location, it’s very easy to snag it when fitting a replacement battery so it’s very easy to tear the connector off from the wires.
It’s a TE Connectivity (AMP) Econoseal connector. 2 way female. Part number 39392. As far as I can see, it’s this connector here.
Your best option is to search Google for Econoseal 2 way female and pay close attention to the position of the side tabs. On this connector they are at the bottom and level with one another.
Licence Plate Light
Ian K asked me about the rear licence plate light connector as his had bad corrosion.
It’s a TE Connectivity (AMP) Econoseal connector. 2 way female. Part number 38851. Pay close attention to the position of the side tabs. On this connector they are in the middle position and level with one another.
This is a very commonly copied connector and they are often listed as a PBT 38851 by Chinese sellers as they think that it’s the make or type of the connector. However, PBT is the type of plastic used in the connector housing.
