Remove the wiper arms, the scuttle and the wiper mechanism. Remove the 4 screws holding the bucket to the car. They are Torx20.

Disconnect the brakelight switch from the brake pedal. You can leave it plugged in. Lowering the SAM unit fully can give much more room for activities.

With some pushing, pulling and twisting, it is just about possible to remove the bucket through the hole. However, I can’t think of any reason why you’d need to. Just being able to move it around is fine.

You can see why disconnecting the brake light switch is a good idea. It’ll get knocked otherwise.

When reconnecting the bucket, pay attention to this grommet.

The spout for the bucket pushes into it to allow it to drain correctly (not into the car).

Why Move The Bucket At All?
If you are sealing the bucket due to the poor foam rubber seal failing or if you are removing the blower motor.
