453 Glovebox Removal

Removing the glovebox is one of those annoying jobs that requires a lot of other things to be moved around it. This is for a Right Hand Drive car but for a Left Hand Drive it should just be the mirror of what you see below.

Pull the surround away from the glovebox.

There are a few clips on the top, bottom and side…

… but the side closest to the centre doesn’t have normal clips…

…it has tabs that hook in behind the centre console. Just pull the cover sideways to release it all.

You have now uncovered 3x Torx20 screws. Remove them.

Why would you want to remove the glovebox I hear you ask.

Well, I learned today that the LHD 453 was available with an open faced glovebox.
