If you have an EV and live in the UK, I would recommend trying to renew your road tax (VED) right now! If you use the number on the V5C, you should be able to re-tax it online. You MUST do this before 1st April because from that date, your yearly road tax will increase from £0 to £195.  Re-taxing the car now will give you 1 extra year free before you start paying the £195.

I got in a waste disposal guy in a cage truck and finally cleared all the broken smart parts that I threw down the side of the workshop plus a load of stuff that was being stacked up in the workshop. So I have a bit more room.

I have been really bogged down with VAT and accounts but also an administration issue with the website. I had to increase the subscription cost as mentioned in a previous news post. I thought it would be as easy as logging into PayPal and Stripe or into the plugin that the site uses to create subscriptions and then just change the prices. But oh no, that would be too easy. After a lot of research, I decided the only way to do it was to manually adjust every single account, one by one. It takes about 1 minute per account which isn’t bad until you realise there’s 4000 accounts to do. That’s 66 hours of continuous work! I tried to see how many I could do in 1 sitting and at 200 I was flagging. So I’m just trying to keep ahead of the renewals whilst also continuing to do research on PayPal APIs as apparently they can fix all the PayPal accounts immediately which would only leave me a weekend’s worth of work to fix the Stripe accounts.

I may have to hire an Indian coder to look into it.
